The Tour CAMINO
3.25.22 | Riviera Theatre - Chicago, IL | Review by Cristian Castillo
A Friday night in Chicago normally consists of people downtown at their favorite spots in the city. One of those favorite spots is the Riviera Theatre: a concert venue that’s coming back to life now that shows are kicking back into gear. And it’s at the Riviera Theatre where I found myself at the sold out show for The Band CAMINO.
I frequently attend concerts here, but it’s not often I attend a sold out show - and The Band CAMINO made it a memorable one. Supporting acts Hastings and Flor both captured the attention of the roaring crowd with fans singing along to song after song without a care in the world, showing their love for these bands.
With the crowd amped up and ready, the Memphis born and Nashville based group entered a dark and foggy stage ready to rock the crowd with their song Know It All from their self titled album, The Band CAMINO.
This was their first headline tour since 2019 and lead singer Jeffery Jordan was continuously amazed by the energy of the crowd.
“We didn’t know what to expect when we booked this tour. It’s an amazing feeling to know that a bunch of people can be in the same room, singing the same songs.” — Jeffery Jordan
The set list consisted of a fantastic mix of songs from both their self titled album and their EP tryhard, including songs like Roses, 1 Last Cigarette, Less Than I Do, and Daphne Blue. Fans were on their feet for the whole set, screaming along with the entire performance.
This was my first time seeing The Band CAMINO and being in this atmosphere on a Friday night left me waiting for the chance to do it all over again.
