Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour

4.2.23 | AT&T Stadium - Arlington, TX | Review by Abbie Respondek

The Eras Tour is a concert experience like no other.

Taylor Swift can command a sold-out stadium full of 70,000+ attendees from her very first lyric as she pops up on the stage, because “it’s been a long time coming.” Five years, as a matter of fact, since Swift had a proper tour and she brought it all to life, sharing her four newest albums in front of a raucous crowd at The Eras Tour.

The night started with two fantastic openers, beabadoobee and Gracie Abrams, who are up-and-coming alternative and pop artists, respectively. An extremely hype and feverish pre-show playlist readied the crowd before Swift took the stage for her three-and-a-half-hour set.

The Eras journey began with Lover, the first album Swift rightfully owned from her catalog of music. The rest of the evening traveled through her seventeen years as an artist and her ten albums celebrating the entirety of her Eras. She included several fan favorites such as Love Story, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Blank Space, and her latest expressive single, Anti-Hero. Every album/Era bloomed to life with an outfit change for Swift and for her thirteen extraordinary dancers. They moved in unison, with Swift the leading the way through each choreographed set.  Undoubtedly, the most beloved part of the night that so many seemed to enjoy is the “Surprise Song” set Swift does just before the end of the show, where she roams back into her treasured vault of lyrical hits and plays them solo for her adoring crowd. Tonight’s surprise songs were Jump Then Fall on guitar and The Lucky One on piano.

The entire night was bursting with brilliant sparkles, consuming fire, and endless dancing, with everyone coming together for one remarkable, unforgettable night. Taylor Swift will continue her Eras Tour every weekend in a new city until the beginning of August. She has yet to announce international dates, but I’m certain the anticipation for the Swifties around the globe will expect to see The Eras Tour coming to a stadium very soon.
