FRENSHIP preview: new music & a new tour

10.3.23 | Preview by Karla Pacheco

FRENSHIP is setting up camp this fall in the form of a headlining tour in support of new music! The new EP, Base Camp, releases October 13th. Already out are the ever-so-vibey “Copenhagen” and the auditory interpretation of yearning, “Lover or an Enemy.” Lyrically, an exciting time awaits. In a previous song, FRENSHIP stated “politics and physics don’t mess with my head.” We seem to be faced with a slight departure from the message as FRENSHIP lets us in with a taste of their beliefs in the new singles.

Like their other songs, it seems like the EP will follow suit and spike outwards from the core sound of electropop. From radio hits to deep cuts, FRENSHIP brings the energy. True to their style, FRENSHIP’s cultivated sound is comparable to the likes of their collaborators, such as Matoma and Bastille. This is definitely a plus, but it is worth noting that their sound has evolved as the band has grown. Even so, they maintain a unique combination of mellow music and dance beats that make for easy listening any time of day.

It’s a sure bet that this tour will be one you don’t want to miss. This headlining tour spans nationwide from October 5th, starting in North Carolina and running through until November 18th in Colorado. You can count on Clean Teeth to get you the inside scoop, as we will be present, snapping shots and taking notes!
